Welcome to DevStack Inc. Privacy Policy!

 Devstack Inc. cares deeply about the privacy of its visitors and users. To that end, this Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) describes how Devstack.Inc collect, use, and share your Personal Information, as well as an explanation of the data rights you may have in that Personal Information. This Privacy Policy applies to all Devstack users, including unregistered visitors, registered users and to all Devstack services, including our websites (including and any of its subdomains, the “Website”), web applications (“Devstack Cloud Console”) and related services (collectively, the “Services”). This Privacy Policy is not intended to override the terms of any contract you have with us, nor any rights you may have under other applicable data privacy laws.

1. Purpose of Collection of Personal Information

 To provide you the services, we must collect personal information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (“Personal Information”). We collect personal Information you provide us, from your use of the services, and from other sources. Here are the types of Personal Information we collect about you:

  • Information you provide us. When you register for our services, use any of our services; and/or when you contact us directly by any communication channel (e.g., customer center, emails), you may provide us personal information, such as name, email address, phone number, payment information (for users with paid services), information you include in your communications with us, and personal information contained in scanned identification documents (such as official company registration documents).
  • Information we collect when you use the services. When you visit, download, and/or use any of our services, we may collect aggregated usage information, such as users’ browsing and ‘click-stream’ activity on the services, and etc.
  • Information we collect from other sources. We may receive personal information about you from third-party sources, such as social media platforms, when you log-in or sign-up using your social media account, we may receive personal information from that service (e.g., your username, basic profile personal information)

 

2. Use of Personal information

 We use your personal information for the following purposes.

  • To provide and operate the services
  • To fulfill the contracts for service provisioning and settle the fees according to service provisioning
  • To provide our Users with ongoing customer assistance and technical support
  • To analyze our performance and marketing activities
  • To enhance our data security and fraud prevention capabilities
  • To comply with any applicable laws and regulations

 

3. Retention Period of Collected Personal Information

 In principle, after the purpose of collecting and using personal information has been achieved, the information will be destroyed in a way that cannot be recovered without delay. However, the following
information is retained for the specified period for the following reasons.

  • Records on contract or subscription withdrawal, etc
    – Reason for retention: Act on consumer protection in electronic commerce, etc
    – Retention period: 5 years
  • Records on payment and supply of goods, etc
    – Reason for retention: Act on consumer protection in electronic commerce, etc
    – Retention period: 5 years
  • Records on consumer complaints or dispute settlement
    – Reason for retention: Act on consumer protection in electronic commerce, etc.
    – Retention period: 3 years
  • Records on visits (service usage records, access logs, access IP information)
    – Reason for retention: Act on consumer protection in electronic commerce, etc
    – Retention period: 3 months

 

4. Procedures and Methods of Destruction of Personal Information

 Devstack destroys the information without delay after the purpose of collecting and using personal information has been achieved or the period of retention has elapsed.

  • According to the ‘Law of Personal Information Expiration Date’, if a customer does not have a record of use for one year, the company notifies to the customer in advance and destroys personal information.
  • The information provided at the customer on registration, etc., is stored for a certain period of time and then destroyed according to internal policies for the reason of information protection and other related laws after the purpose is achieved (see Retention Period of Personal Information). The personal information will not be used for any purpose except the original purpose. However, it will be used Law Enforcement, Legal Requests and Duties.
  • Personal information printed on paper is destroyed by shredding or incineration, and personal information stored in electronic file format is deleted using a technical method that cannot reproduce the record.

 

5. Sharing of Personal Information

 In principle, Devstack does not disclose personal information to others or other companies/organizations. However, there are exceptions for the following reasons.

  • If the user has agreed in advance
  • Law enforcement, legal Requests and duties
  • Use the personal information suitable for the purpose
  • if it is necessary to provide personal information to a third party, personal information may be provided to the third party through legitimate procedures such as obtaining the consent of the user

 

6. Rejection of Consent of Personal Information

 You can refuse to consent to the collection of personal information, and even if you refuse, the use of basic services is not restricted. However, some services may be restricted if you refuse to consent to mandatory personal information.

 

 

7. Personal Information Protection Manager and Consultation

 Customers can report complaints of personal information protection to the service center while using the Devstack services. If you need to report or consult about infringement of personal information, please contact the following organizations.

8. Notice

 In the addition, deletion, or modification of this contents due to changes in laws, policies, or security technology, the Devstack’s website will be notified from 7 days before the effective date of the change. However, if any content that is unfavorable to the customer is included, it will be notified 30 days before the effective date of the change.
